"Stunning Location, Beautiful Lodge & Lovely Hosts"

We stayed in The Brown Trout Suite for 3 nights at the end of June. The place is just beautiful in every way from the bedding & towels to the stunning views from every window & the deck. Robin met us on arrival & showed us around, she had also thoughtfully provided bread, butter, eggs & a bottle of local wine for us which was a lovely surprise. Later in our stay she also left us cookies on the door step 🙂

We had covered a lot of miles prior to our arrival so spent our first day around the lodge, walking down to the ponds where we saw baby otters & loads of birds, & sitting in the chairs on the river bank with a stunning view of Emigrant Peak. It was just so peaceful & tranquil & served as a much needed rest. In the evenings & early mornings we saw deer in the meadow next to the lodge & were also treated to the sight of two fawns which were absolutely adorable.

We had selected Reedfly Lodge as a base to spend a full day in Yellowstone away from the crowds & overpopulated accommodations within the park. Within an easy 30min drive we were in the park & it was so nice to leave the hordes of travelers there & retreat to the tranquility of Reedfly Lodge.

We ate locally 2 of the 3 nights of our stay & both places were fine. Choice is fairly limited unless you want to travel a few miles but again Robin provided us with a list of places in easy reach & to be honest when you’re staying amid such natural beauty food becomes very secondary! There was also a washer & dryer available for guest use which after a week on the road was a godsend!!

I always thoroughly research our vacation choices & Reedfly Lodge was everything I hoped for & if we are back in that area we will definitely return. The attention to detail in everything from the furnishings to the thoughtfulness of the hosts is exemplary & we so appreciated it all.

Thank you so much Robin for your hospitality & thoughtfulness & I sincerely hope we can return some day 🙂
